Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 2 is here, and Marvel is once again in the spotlight. Players now have the chance to unlock Doctor Strange and Prowler as new skins. Iron Man is also returning after a long hiatus.

The new season starts today and runs through winter. From March 30th to April 3rd , Epic Games is dedicating all Fortnite profits to humanitarian aid for people affected by the war in Ukraine. The Epic Games post states that Xbox is also donating: “Xbox is joining us in this effort and is committing its net profits to Fortnite during this time so we can get more help to the people of Ukraine.” You can read more about Epic Games and Xbox support here.

About Chapter 3: Season 2: Resistance

Chapter 3, Season 2: Resistance continues the battle for Ground Zero and offers players many new skills and gadgets to use in this endeavor. The player’s default movement speed has been increased and an additional burst of speed can be gained with the new sprint move. The player can also use a cloak to grab the ledges and haul themselves up. You no longer need to build to reach new heights.

Speaking of building, the skill is gone, thanks to a story development you can see in the trailer above. Now you’ll need to use the environment and the new moveset to gain the upper hand. Epic will obviously bring the build back, but in the short term, it’s gone and the game is going to look dramatically different.

Epic has also added a new vehicle roster to add a little more chaos to the mix. An IO Titan tank and a battle bus can be used, but you’ll need to save some bars to build the bus, which has a cow catcher, tire chonkers, and two types of turrets.

Doctor Strange and Prowler are linked to the new Battle Pass. As you work to unlock it, you can also pick up additional skins for characters like The Origin, Gunnar, and Tuski 2.0.

Epic was surprisingly quiet on the launch of this new season, but while it doesn’t have a major event to set it up, the changes to gameplay and unlockable content are massive and should keep Fortnite fans playing until the next season arrives.
